Dr. Frankel is a board certified nasal surgeon whose specialty is Rhinoplasty. His board certifications are in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Originally from Chicago, he now makes his home here at the in Los Angeles. Dr. Frankel graduated with honors ( Alpha Omega Alpha) from medical school. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary where he specialized in head and neck surgery. During this time, he received extensive training with repairing noses that were damaged due to trauma (sports, work injuries, etc…) and due to cancer. Dr. Frankel later completed his Fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the American Academy of Facial Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Frankel has lectured and continues to lecture, national and international surgeons and has published on many subjects including Rhinoplasty. Since 1994, he has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, Los Angeles where Dr. Frankel has also been awarded the “Outstanding Clinical Faculty Teaching Award”. Dr. Frankel is also an active member of the National Domestic Violence Project where he performs pro bono surgery, including nasal surgery on victims of abuse.
